DeepDivo Help Center

Start with the question. Deliver the full depth.

Find clear guidance on prompts, research settings, task progress, downloads, billing, and account security. The goal is not a longer document, but a clearer understanding of the question.

Getting started

Complete a research project in three steps

You do not need to prepare an outline or move material between several tools.

01

Describe what you want to understand

Enter an event, company, person, trend, work, or background material in up to 600 characters. The topic does not need to be polished; a worthwhile question is enough.

02

Confirm the document and research settings

Choose a deepdivo article or video script, the output language, and standard or deep research.

03

Read, refine, and export the result

Track progress in the workspace. When the task is complete, read the document, download Word, PDF, or Markdown, or regenerate it.

01

Input and Settings

Don't worry about a title first; start with what you really want to understand

No need to craft a title or polish the topic in advance. Events, companies, people, trends, works, or background material can be entered directly into the input box. For more direction, add target readers, questions of interest, existing judgments, or misconceptions to avoid.

Bring the question; DeepDivo will investigate it thoroughly and make the evidence clear.

The system will continue to identify contradictions, organize materials and differing viewpoints, and develop the initial idea into a complete article.

600-character limit

The home page and New Research both allow a maximum of 600 characters. This limit applies to all input languages, including spaces and punctuation. When the limit is reached, the counter displays 600 / 600.

Feature

A complete long-form article with evidence and a clear narrative, suitable for newsletters, columns, blogs, and industry reports.

Script

A ready-to-record script for a long-form video, suitable for YouTube, educational videos, and podcasts.

Interface Language

Only changes buttons, menus, and prompts; it does not translate drafts or alter existing documents or output language.

Output Language

Determines the final document language. Manual selection takes precedence over the input language; for example, selecting 'Japanese' will generate Japanese output regardless of input language.

Extended output: Français · Deutsch · Español

Research and Tasks

Review research depth, time, and Credits before starting

Research depthCostTarget LengthTypical TimeSuitable Content
Standard research30 CreditsApprox. 5,000 wordsApprox. 8 minutesRegular topics with clear boundaries
Deep research50 CreditsApprox. 8,000 wordsApprox. 10 minutesComplex topics spanning multiple fields or with high controversy

Research phase

  1. Understand the topic
  2. Plan the approach
  3. Find sources
  4. Extract key points
  5. Build the structure
  6. Draft and refine
  7. Finalize the document

The seven stages are a simplified view of the work in progress and do not map one-to-one to technical operations.

Research continues in the background. You can safely leave this page.

When a task ultimately fails

Final failures due to system errors will automatically refund any pre-deducted Credits and log to account history. You can regenerate with the same settings or modify the topic and retry.

03

Results and files

Read, regenerate, organize, and download documents

After completion, you can read the full text online, use the table of contents to jump to sections, adjust reading font size, regenerate with the original topic, or bring the topic back to the new research page for further edits.

Document library

Supports keyword search, filtering by status, language, and document type, and sorting by update time, creation time, or title.

Automatic export

Each research automatically generates Word, PDF, and Markdown without prior selection and without consuming extra Credits.

Downloads use a shared “completion time_document title_document type_task ID” name, so all three formats sort together for easier filing and retrieval.

  • Word and Markdown are retained with the document until the document or account is deleted.
  • PDF is retained for 30 days from document completion. Please download before expiration.
  • Deleting a document also deletes related exported files, and this action cannot be undone.
04

Public content

Only documents you choose to make public are shown to others.

You can publish a completed document or make it private again at any time. While it is public, visitors can read it and see the public name you have chosen.

Before making public, ensure the document does not contain information you do not want disclosed, that you have the rights to publish related materials, and that important facts have been verified. The public page restricts direct copying, but web pages cannot technically prevent screenshots, photographs, or other recording methods.

05

Account and Payments

Understanding Credits, plans, subscriptions, and account security

Credits

Eligible verified accounts receive a one-time 90 Free Credits valid for 30 days. Subscription and add-on Credits are valid for 90 days from each grant, and the earliest-expiring balance is used first.

Plans, prices, and bonus rates

Monthly billing only: Starter $30 / 315 Credits, Creator $50 / 550, Pro $100 / 1,150, Studio $200 / 2,400, and Scale $500 / 6,250. Add-on bonus rates are 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, respectively. Core research and export capabilities are the same.

Payment, subscription, invoices, and billing portal are provided by Paddle. Do not make duplicate purchases while payment is still processing. If a transaction is completed but benefits are not synced for an extended period, submit a Payment & Subscription ticket.

06

Trustworthy Use

Automated research enhances efficiency but does not replace final judgment

  • Important figures, dates, quotes, and conclusions should be cross-checked against original sources.
  • High-risk matters such as legal, medical, or investment decisions should be independently evaluated by qualified professionals.
  • Do not generate content that is illegal, infringing, fraudulent, or violates content policies.
  • Users should perform a final fact and expression review before publishing or delivering the output.

Frequently Asked Questions

When in doubt, start here

How long does generation typically take?

Standard research typically takes about 8 minutes, and deep research about 10 minutes. Actual time varies with topic complexity, source availability, and service status.

What if a task hasn't changed for a long time?

Research continues in the background. Refresh the workspace first; if it remains at the same stage for a long time, copy the six-character task ID and submit a Research Task ticket.

Will Credits be deducted if generation fails?

Final failures due to system errors will automatically refund any pre-deducted Credits, which will appear in your account ledger. Do not request re-issuance without checking the ledger first.

Which export formats are supported?

Each research automatically generates Word, PDF, and Markdown without prior selection and without consuming extra Credits.

Why can't I download my PDF?

The PDF may still be generating or has exceeded the 30-day retention period. Word and Markdown files are typically retained with the document.

Does the interface language change the document language?

No. The interface language and research output language are independent. Choose the output language under Production settings when creating a new research task.

Can public documents be completely protected from copying?

No. Page restrictions only reduce the convenience of direct copying, but cannot completely prevent screenshots, photos, or other recording methods.

Self-Service Support

Diagnose first, then contact support

The system can securely read your account, Credits, task, or billing summary. Include the task ID, but never send passwords, verification codes, or recovery codes.
