Subscriptions, Credits & Refunds

Subscriptions, Credits and Refund Policy

This Policy explains USD pricing, automatic renewal, plan entitlements, Credit grants and expiry, failed jobs, refunds and chargebacks.

1. Checkout and responsibilities

Paid orders are processed by Paddle as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller in the buyer transaction and handles payment collection, applicable taxes, receipts, transaction refunds and payment disputes. DeepDivo is responsible for product delivery, accounts, Credits, product support and technical support, and may provide Paddle with product-usage information needed to review a refund. Checkout and transactions are also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms, Refund Policy and Privacy Notice shown at purchase.

2. Free and promotional Credits

• Registration automatically creates a Free account.
• Eligible accounts receive a one-time 90-Credit grant valid for 30 days.
• No more than three accounts per device receive the promotional grant. Later accounts may register but start with zero promotional Credits.
• Free Credits and Promotional Bonus Credit may not be transferred, sold, redeemed for cash or repeatedly claimed. Promotional Bonus Credit expires under the applicable campaign terms. Evasion, bulk registration or abuse may result in revocation or restriction.

3. Subscription plans

• Starter: $20/month; 300 Credits monthly.
• Creator: $50/month; 800 Credits monthly.
• Pro: $100/month; 1,700 Credits monthly.
• Studio: $200/month; 3,500 Credits monthly.

Free and Starter can each run 1 research task at a time; Creator, Pro and Studio can run 2, 3 and 5 respectively. All tasks enter the same queue; plans do not receive queue priority.

All paid plans are billed and renewed monthly; annual billing and multi-month prepayment are not currently offered. Core research quality, online reading, languages, deliverable types, and Word, PDF and Markdown exports are the same across plans. Standard and Deep Research counts each assume all Credits are used in that mode; actual usage may combine both.

4. Research costs and expiry

• Standard Research costs 30 Credits and Deep Research costs 40. Deliverable type, language, and automatically generated Word, PDF and Markdown exports add no Credits; PDFs are retained for 30 days after completion.
• One-time add-on USD list prices are 150 / $10, 300 / $20, 600 / $40 and 1,200 / $80 Credits; final currency, tax and amount are shown at secure checkout.
• Subscription and add-on Credits remain valid for up to 90 days after each grant or purchase; Free registration Credits are valid for 30 days after issue; Promotional Bonus Credit expires under the applicable campaign terms.
• Add-ons are available only with an active paid subscription, cost the same on every plan, include no bonus Credits, and do not upgrade or change the current subscription. Free users cannot purchase add-on Credits.
• The earliest-expiring balance is used first. Expired Credits lapse and cannot be redeemed for cash or carried indefinitely. Unused Credits linked to a refunded, reversed, or charged-back transaction may be revoked.

5. Discount and redemption codes

• Checkout discount codes affect only eligible order prices. Eligible items, discount, usage, duration, taxes and final amount are determined on the secure checkout page. A discount does not reduce the Credits or entitlements included with the purchased plan.
• Credit redemption codes grant promotional Credits; they are not payment, stored value or gift cards and do not change the subscription plan.
• Codes may be limited by account, device, use count and campaign period. Redeemed Credits expire as shown and cannot be transferred, sold, refunded or redeemed for cash.
• Automated guessing, resale or eligibility evasion is prohibited. Erroneous, fraudulent or abusive grants may be refused or have unused promotional Credits revoked, with audit records retained.

6. Renewal, cancellation and failed payment

Monthly subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Users may select “Manage subscription and invoices” under Account → Credits to open the secure billing page, or use the management link in the payment confirmation email. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; the account then returns to Free without another 90-Credit grant. Canceling stops future renewal but does not automatically reverse a completed transaction or trigger a refund; refunds must be requested separately under section 8. Cancellation does not immediately remove previously granted, unexpired Credits. Once paid entitlement ends, add-on purchases are unavailable until an active paid subscription resumes.

No new recurring Credits are granted while payment is past due, paused, canceled, under fraud review or otherwise non-current. Temporary access to existing benefits depends on the paid period and payment status.

7. Reservation, success and failure

• Credits are reserved from the earliest-expiring balances when a job is created.
• Reserved Credits are captured when the job completes.
• If a job ultimately fails because of a DeepDivo system error or system cancellation, all 30 or 40 Credits reserved for that job are automatically released or restored without contacting support.
• If the original balance expired before restoration, equivalent replacement Credits valid for seven days may be issued solely to restore the value of the failed job.
• For user cancellation, prohibited content, incorrect or unauthorized input, restoration depends on resources consumed and applicable law.
• This section restores the right to use Credits; it is not a cash refund of a transaction.

8. Refunds, withdrawal and chargebacks

14-day money-back guarantee. Every paid order — including subscriptions, renewals and one-time Credit add-ons — comes with a minimum 14-day refund window from the date of purchase or renewal. Within those 14 days, you may request a full refund for any reason, with no exceptions, conditions or questions asked. This right applies even if Credits from that transaction have already been used. You can request the refund through the secure billing page, a relevant link in the payment confirmation email or Paddle buyer support.

After the 14-day window, completed transactions are not automatically refundable except where applicable law, the Paddle Buyer Terms, the Paddle Refund Policy or this Policy provide otherwise. For duplicate payments, clear billing errors, persistent technical failures or another reasonable ground, DeepDivo may submit or support a request to Paddle for a full or partial refund; the outcome of such a request depends on transaction status, product usage, Paddle rules and applicable law.

After the 14-day window, research that completed successfully and consumed Credits is not normally eligible for a commercial cash refund unless applicable law requires otherwise or there is a material product or technical problem. Research that fails because of a DeepDivo system error is ordinarily handled first by restoring the relevant Credits under section 7.

Credits measure service entitlements; they are not stored value or a redeemable cash balance. Used, expired, free or promotional Credits have no standalone cash value, cannot be refunded or redeemed separately, and do not produce an automatic cash refund calculated from remaining Credits. If a transaction is fully or partially refunded, reversed or charged back, unused Credits associated with that transaction may be revoked accordingly. DeepDivo and Paddle may retain necessary transaction, Credit-usage and refund records for reconciliation, prevention of refund abuse and handling payment disputes.

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable refund, withdrawal or other consumer right under applicable law. Where local law grants a refund or cancellation right longer or more favorable than 14 days, that longer or more favorable right applies.

9. Changes

Material changes to prices, Credits or benefits will be notified within legally required periods and normally apply from a later renewal. Completed purchases are not changed retroactively unless law or tax requires it. The checkout amount and cycle form the final purchase summary for that transaction.
